On the weekend of the 19 October 10 members and their wives from the Club of Sutton Nonsuch went to the District 1140 conference at Bristol to support President Chris Hughes. With many members of other clubs in the district they enjoyed three days of Rotary fellowship.

On Friday evening we were all invited to Chris H room for pre dinner drinks and then we all went out to dinner in an Italian restaurant which was close by and had a very enjoyable meal.

On the Saturday 6 couples from the Club went on an organised tour of the town by Chris Forkan and had lunch in a delightful pub by the river.

After lunch we were joined by 3 other couples and went on a 4 hour walking tour which took longer than it should, again organised by Chris Forkan. The reason it took longer than intended was for 2 reasons: one, Chris was so knowledgeable that he spent a lot of time explaining the history of Bristol and the second was because some of those on the tour had difficulty in climbing up the hills.

All those who attended agreed that Chris H had organised a great weekend away.
